a lecture by Armando Rascón to be held at the San Diego State University Library on the Imperial Valley Campus, Calexico, California at 4:00pm Wednesday September 2. The public is invited.
Rascón’s book, Proof of Concept: Retrospecting the ephemeral and activist art of Armando Rascón will be the subject of the lecture. The lecture accompanies the exhibition Armando Rascón: Proof of Concept, a new project by Rascón to be held at the Charles Steppling Art Gallery of the San Diego State University, Imperial Valley Campus in Calexico in conjunction with the release of Rascón’s book. The installation will feature color documentation of retrospective works from Proof of Concept’s final chapter Plates Desperditus, featuring photo documentation of earlier installation projects that are no longer in existence. The exhibition continues runs from September 2 through October 3.
Proof of Concept: Retrospecting the ephemeral and activist art of Armando Rascón the book will be on display as the singular art object included in the exhibition.
